I have been trying to solve this transformer failure problem for years so when a single call to a knowledgable and helpful representative resolved the issue I almost couldn't believe it.

We really like our bendable track lighting but are having a problem with the connection at the transformer. The little brass nipple that comes out of the top of of the transformer shaft is alittle short and doesn't stay firmly snugged up to the top of the track like the bottom one in the cap does. It worked just fine for maybe a month then went out on 2 of our 3 tracks. They worked again when I tightened the caps the next few times but got harder each time to tighten the cap. Then I wrapped cloth around the cap and used pliers after the fourth or fifth time and now I can' tighten them enough. I called CS and they said to clean the contacts and that should do it and that was when I noticed that the top brass nipple was just alittle short. I'm going to find a way to add some length to it so it will bite into the top of the rail for better contact. We have 3 tracks on our kit. ceiling and bent them in various shapes to provide lighting where we needed it and it really looks attractive and are hoping to fix the problem. By the way, we had the problem on 2 of the 3 we originally purchased and replaced them @ $65 each.

This does not support my track lighting system and when installed, only keeps the lights on for 5-12 minutes at a time. I have to keep them off for 20 minutes if I want light again. Not a good product.
