slim and trim

Great lights, love the high and low beams these lights fit in my entertainment center like I wanted them to. Make sure you order the power cords and the proper length as this is extra.

great undercabinet light

By from New York, NY Apr 27, 2009
Very small profile on these under cabinet lights. Only 1" as advertised. Had my contractor install them. They provide great "soft white" light. I used (5) of the 13" size in (5) 22" cabinets. Haven't changed a bulb yet so not sure how easy that is.

great light but it gets hot

By from , Aug 05, 2010
I love the illumination from my undercabinet lights, especially since they're on a dimmer. You can push it up to full light when preparing food, or to show off your freshly baked pie. But watch out, the light gets hot, and the stuff in the cabinet just above can heat up also. Another tip: don't let your electrician talk you into putting it against the wall at the back of the cabinet. My designer told me to place it at the front of the cabinet base, so it illuminates more surface. She was totally correct. Also, she advised me that once a month you should turn the light up to full for a while to efficiently use the bulb.

very good under-counter lights

By from Los Gatos, CA Mar 01, 2010
Pluses: nicely sized models can fit under any cabinets--purchase the right lengths for you kitchen. Excelent quality. Accent or task lighting with Hi, Low, Off switches on each light. Mostly invisible once installed with clean, even light.
Minuses: Installation not as easy as it might be. No fitting to connect from fixture to plug, so installation is for those comfortable with home wiring.
Tips: Large, channel-lock pliers (with tape over jaws to protect fixtures) work as an efficient way to squeeze open the electrical box (instructions say just squeeze with hands--nope!) 3 1/2 inches back from insde front of cabinet to screw hole works about right--more and the light is too near the wall; less and the glass will be hard to slide in and out. If using the (expensive) connectors to install, allow 2 1/2 inches between fixture and side of cabinet. Otherwise, plan on at least one inch.
