The fixture is attractive however the 35w MR16 gets very hot and I think is too bright for reading. You can not touch the upper portion of the fixture when the light is on unless you are wearing oven mitts.

odyssey wall mounted task lamp

We love the look and size of the wall lamp. However, it gets very hot and will burn you if you touch it. We purchased lower watt bulbs, but that didn't help lower the heat. The light is clean and great for the task otherwise.

love my cool new lights!

I love these contemporary lights. I can't claim to really know how easy they are to install - I had someone do it for me, but they came with no assembly required, so I assume it was pretty simple. I love the contemporary style, and they provide good task lighting for reading.

We love our reading sconces--they're wonderfully flexible, they look great in any position--we often comment on the shapes that are produced by either or both of them as a unit around our bed. The only thing that would make them perfect is if there was a dimmer adjustment. Otherwise, they're excellent!!

I live in a home that is 110 years old. In the bedroom where I am considering placing this lite, there is no wall switch that turns lights on and off. Each of the current light fixture/sconces in the room has a button on it that one pushes in to turn the light on and off. Would this wall sconce work as a replacement since it has an on and off switch on it? A:Yes this appears that it would work for your application since it has an on and off switch. It looks like we don't have very much of these (752098G looks like it might work).
