This small sconce is well suited to being hung near or just above eye height so that the horizontal light baffle hides the light bulb from view. I elected to stack three of them vertically 10” apart at the end of a hall. I rotated the lights so that their light baffles were oriented vertically. If I had kept the light baffles orientation in the horizontal position then the people would be able to look directly into two of the three sconce light bulbs. When turned vertically the light bulbs in all three sconces were hidden by the light baffle. It is important to note that the vertical configuration is not suitable if people can walk very far to either side because the light baffle would not be in position to shield the light bulb. The light bulb is easy to replace. This light works well in a modern minimalist setting. All in all; great light, great price.
