I thought the shades on these sconces were white. If I had known that they were ecru, I would not have ordered them. My husband is the ultimate handyman, but these backplates were very difficult to attach securely on the wall because the screws holding the fixture in place were not long enough. He had to spend a long time determining a solution - experimented with various thicknesses of cardboard to attach from the back and finally was able to make it all work and they are now secure, but the average purchaser would have an awful time making this fixture secure and workable.

It took a long time to get this fixture (6-8 weeks due to it being back ordered), but I am happy with it now that it is finally installed in our bedroom.

These are a great look. I love because the swing arm is good and tight. We pull on them everyday and after a year they stay right where I put them. The switch knob is large so easy to find and operate. You will be very satisfied!
