The weight alone indicates quality in this fixture besides the antique brass finish that is toned down from some of the flashy brighter ones seen on the market. We also appreciate the shape of the glass that carries out the "early American" look allowing the fixture to be turned up or down for use selection.

I did a lot of searching online for two wall sconces we could put over our bed for reading at night. I had ordered two swing arm lamps with shades but they just looked huge. (I wound up putting those over the couch)

I found these and was impressed by the size; not too big, not too small. They easily swivel to get the light just right over your reading, or to move it so it doesn't shine in my face if I fall asleep before him.

They are meant to be hard wired, which is what we were looking for. The brass looks substantial, just aged enough and the style fits in with our old farmhouse that we have remodeled...a mix of contemporary and old. Lovely. We set them up on dimmer switches, which is nice over the bed. We ordered a third one after receiving the first two to add to another wall as well.

We bought these to hover over our corner sink and vanity in our small bathroom. We love how they can swivel from side to side and the brushed nickel matched perfectly with the hardware we had chosen.
