3 Spring Break Rules (for Parents)

Why do kids get to have all the fun on Spring Break? Every day is Kid Day, so it stands to reason that when they’re off on vacation (from what, we do not know) the parents should get to live it up a little. But, what are parents to do? There are bills to pay, laundry to fold, spring cleaning to do, soul-sucking jobs to slave away at … Never fear! Just remember these simple rules, parents, and you should be able to squeeze as much fun out of Spring Break as those college kids who somehow always manage to convince themselves that you could’ve never partied as hard when you were their age. Ah, naïve youth … Rule #1: It’s Never Too Late to Party You may be thinking that it’s too late for Spring Break; that the season has already passed. Nonsense! It’s never too late to party. It’s never too late in the day, the week, the year … and it’s certainly never too late in your life to party. Remember: you’re an adult. You can party whenever you want. Eat ice cream before dinner. No one can ground you anymore! Rule #2: You Define “Party” The word “party” has no fixed definition; at least, not for you. Not anymore – because you’re the boss. If your idea of a party is a rousing game of backgammon fueled by hot cocoa and dreams of winning the Backgammon World Championship then go nuts. (By the way, the BWC is totally real and is held every year in the bling capital of the world – Monte Carlo, Monaco. So, for anyone who laughs at the dream of backgammon greatness, keep in mind that chances are good most of us couldn't even afford to sit and watch the tourney.) Rule #3: You Know How to Party This ain’t your first rodeo. No one is saying you’re old, but you’ve been old enough to know what the inside of a cocktail lounge looks like for a while now. You know how to shake things up, and what’s more – you know what you like. That is a supreme edge in the realm of successful partying. A seasoned partier can skip (or avoid) the myriad negative side effects that stem from a lack of good sense when it comes to cutting loose. Use your experience to your advantage to boost your Fun Quotient. ATGStores.com hopes you have a great Friday and a fun, if belated, Spring Break celebration.
