Beyoncé Makes Big Bowl Game Vow
Beyoncé is already having a banner year in 2013 and in an effort to nip Super Bowl lip-synching speculation in the bud she laid all doubts to rest with a stirring performance of the national anthem at a press conference three days before the big game.
The award-winning performer admitted to singing along with a pre-recorded track on Inauguration Day due to technical issues, but vowed to the press, her fans and the world that she would “absolutely” sing live at the Super Bowl.
No doubt the players for the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers will be feeling butterflies banging around in their guts all weekend, but neither team has promised to win, which is basically what Beyoncé has done.
Think about it: The on-field players of either team have to actively rely on, let’s say, 80 people to gain victory. That includes coaches, coordinators, benchwarmers and water boys. Beyoncé, whether she realizes it, needs an army of technicians if she expects to sing live and have the world hear it.

In other words, she has made a huge commitment and it’s hard to say what is more impressive – her actual ability to deliver, which she has proven, or her brazen confidence in pulling it off despite having control of only one aspect of the performance.
Now, one could argue that it will be very easy for the singer to make good on her promise. All she has to do is sing live, because she didn’t make any guarantees on how it would sound. She could sing to herself under her breath and it would still count.

I'm gettin' my Beyoncé on."[/caption]
But, this is Beyoncé. This is the same person who told GQ magazine that she is “more powerful than my mind can even digest and understand.” So, you know, there’s no way she’s going to deliver anything less than perfection, one way or another.
The Ravens and 49ers have their work cut out for them competing for the Super Bowl XLVII title, but they may want to consider joining forces for battle against Beyoncé to regain the relevance of … you know … the game of football.
