We call all agree that enjoying the holidays is about good company, but if you had your druthers would you and your crew rather be in the snow or on the beach?
The answer probably came to you pretty quickly, but keep in mind that no truer words were ever spoken than, “The grass is always greener on the other side.” That’s why we want to take a few steps back and look at the pros and cons of each.
Snow is cold …
Yep. There’s no getting around that one. Snow is quite literally freezing cold, the weather that brings it is cold, anything it falls on gets cold and very, very, very few people find joy in that much cold. And then there’s that serious cold that no one likes; the kind that seeps into your bones, makes your toes ache and turns your lips into a cracked, desolate O of pain …
… but snow is also fun!
The list goes on and on: Sledding, skiing, snowball fights, snowmen, snow angels, snow forts, ice skating, snowshoeing, snowboarding and ice fishing are just a handful of the fun things you can do when things start to get cold. Or, you can just curl up with some cocoa and watch the snow fall – perhaps the best activity of them all.
There is such a thing as too hot …
Sunny weather is pretty glorious, but add a little humidity and all of a sudden things start to get unbearable. Every part of your body is sticking to every other party and it feels like you’ve been licked all over by a giant, slobbering dog. The next thing you know you’re retreating into the air conditioning you’re right back where you started – indoors waiting for the weather to change.
… but there’s endless fun in the sun!
Let’s be honest: It’s true that there are a lot of fun things to do in the snow, but it can hardly compare with a sunny day. You can do practically anything you want in the sun. And, there’s nothing quite like Christmas on the beach, especially when you’re escaping from the snow. It feels like … victory.
But, to each their own! ATGStores.com is wondering what you prefer: Christmas in the sand, or Christmas in the snow?
