Every so often the occasional kid, pet or violent weather event will come along and break your stuff. It happens to the best of us. That’s why it’s nice to own a few things that you know you can rely on to survive the rough stuff.
Obviously, no manufacturer is going to insure against something like an earthquake or a 5-year-old cranked up to Level 11 on a bagful of Pixy Stix, but sometimes you can find those rare treasures that are clearly built to survive a catastrophe. For example …
<strong>Denim Beanbag<a title="Denim Beanbag Chair" href="http://www.atgstores.com/bean-bags/fatboy-usa-jns-blu-original-jeans-bean-bag_g1267336.html?isku=9432904&linkloc=cataLogProductItemsImage" rel="attachment wp-att-12337" target="_blank"><img class="alignright wp-image-12337" title="Fat Boy Bean Bag" src="http://ourblog.atgstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/beanbag-300x300.jpg" alt="denim beanbag chair" width="180" height="180" /></a></strong>
<a title="Bean Bags " href="http://www.atgstores.com/Bean%20Bags_1057.html" target="_blank">Beanbags</a> may not seem very indestructible, but it all depends on how you look at it. It can’t be broken no matter how hard you kick it or how much you drop it, and when it’s clad in denim it gets even tougher.
This beanbag is easy to spot clean and has a machine-washable cover, and meets flammability standards set by the California Technical Bulletin – which, by the way, is not an invitation to try and set it on fire.

<strong>Outdoor Bench<a title="POLYWOOD Outdoor Bench" href="http://www.atgstores.com/outdoor-benches/polywood-gnb48bl-vineyard-outdoor-bench_g1374542.html?isku=9776516&linkloc=cataLogProductItemsImage" rel="attachment wp-att-12342" target="_blank"><img class="alignright wp-image-12342" title="POLYWOOD Outdoor Bench" src="http://ourblog.atgstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/bench-300x300.jpg" alt="outdoor benches" width="180" height="180" /></a></strong>
The only weakness inherent in this bench is the fact that it must be assembled. Once screwed together, though, it's all but impervious to the elements and is warrantied for a whopping 20 years.
The bench is constructed of <a title="POLYWOOD Furniture" href="http://www.atgstores.com/polywood_m915.html" target="_blank">POLYWOOD</a>, a synthetic material that won’t “splinter, crack, chip, peel, rot or suffer structural damage from insect infestation,” and also repels oils and fuels, fungi, salt spray and UV damage. Even the commercial-grade stainless steel screws are coated in rustproof Xylan.

<strong>Iron End Table<a title="Iron End Table" href="http://www.atgstores.com/end-tables/arteriors-home-6232-malcolm-iron-end-table_g931389.html?isku=7448802&linkloc=cataLogProductItemsImage" target="_blank"><img class="alignright wp-image-12347" title="Iron End Table" src="http://ourblog.atgstores.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/endtable-300x300.jpg" alt="metal end tables" width="180" height="180" /></a></strong>
This thing is begging for a beating. It’s hollow, because otherwise you’d need a crane to lift it, which means it will dent if you hit it with something really hard – like a truck. But you’d have to go out of your way to ruin it as an end table and it may even look cooler with a few battle scars on it.
Good luck breaking it, though. It’s a hunk of welded iron. You’d probably have to melt it to cause any real harm.
