Do you have a favorite lamp? If you do, then you know what it’s like – not only does it speak to you, it speaks for you.
Desk lamps, bedroom lamps, living room lamps: they all say something different. Some tell you to wake up, others tell you it’s time to work and yet others ask you to relax. Some lamps say it’s party time! And, other lamps say it’s time to get down to business.
The funny thing is that whatever your favorite lamp is saying to you, there’s a good chance it’s saying the same thing to everyone else. Take a look at these lamps and see if you can guess who would have most likely owned them.

I’m a lamp, kid.”[/caption]
Once upon a time – in 1970 – a boy asked an owl (and a cow, and a fox, and a turtle) how many licks it would take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop. Believe it or not, actual scientific studies have been conducted to find the answer, but results are always in conflict. So, the owl was right in that the world may truly never know. Do you remember his name?
(BONUS: This lamp also awesomely resembles another once-famous owlish screen star that helped lead Perseus to victory against the Kraken in 1981. Knowing this earns you double points.)

This LED table lamp is obviously a thing of the future. It does all kinds of cool stuff and it uses what’s called Dense Matrix LED Technology, but if your guess is Neo then you’ve picked the wrong fictional movie character. Do you remember this “program’s” name?

Directors are all about perfect lighting and one man stands alone as the most maddeningly obsessive in film history, which is why he’d probably enjoy this studio light. This documented sadist (and film genius) once set the record for the most retakes of a single movie scene with spoken dialogue by forcing Shelley Duvall to reshoot one scene 127 times. The result: One of the scariest film moments in history in The Shining.
ATGStores.com has thousands of lamps and each one has a story waiting to be told. As for these stories, how did you do? Give yourself a pat on the back if you scored a perfect 7.
